Betty White was a graduate of Beverly Hills High school and began modeling and doing radio. She started in television in 1949. From 1961 to 1975 she appeared many times on Password. She married the shows host Allen Ludden. During this time she made other appearances on game shows and frquently visited The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. From 1973 to 1977 she was wonderful as Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. From 1983 to 1985 she did a three year stint on Momma’s Family. Had her career ended here she would already be a hall of famer. But in 1985 she starred in The Golden Girls and that show ran until 1992. Betty White had a reoccurring role in The Practice and as the same dark character on Boston Legal with James Spader. She has been in all the FOX animated comedies and had a fantastic appearance in a hilarious commercial during Super Bowl XLIV in 2010. Also in 2010 she was part of a fan based petition to be invited as guest host on Saturday Night Live. Betty White has been nominated for 16 Emmy Awards and won 4. Betty White is now on a television show called Hot in Cleveland with Wendy Malick, Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves (Frasier) and Emcee’s Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.
