His valet was his wife and the two would always present a sickening display of affection towards each other before the match started. They were hilariously horrible people. I’ve never seen a profile of these two on any wrestling site. I loved the GWF and still have some episodes on tape somewhere. I adored the outlandish storylines towards the end. I forget the wrestler names but the storylines were unforgettable (the fat announcer who was under the delusion that he was Elvis, the “moon rock” bungee jump, the corrupt CEO who showed up homeless and reformed at Christmas time…It was so funny the way the wrestlers harassed that kid with the news segment). GWF had the smartest writing in pro wrestling. I wrote ESPN protesting its frequent preemption and subsequent cancellation. I never felt compelled to do this for any other show.
